Silent Auction Participation = Witches Giving Back!

The New Orleans Witches’ Ball ‘Choose Your Charity’ Silent Auction serves as an annual fundraising effort to benefit the philanthropic endeavors of local 501c3 organizations. Witches and Pagans are the most generous and supportive people in the world, and the Silent Auction is the perfect place to show it!

Located in the upstairs Garden Room at our venue, the Elms Mansion, the Silent Auction bidding opens at 8:00 pm and closes at 10:30pm sharp with winners announced at 11:00pm. Bidding at the Silent Auction is free (unless you win!)! Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment. All proceeds will go to the winners’ choice of charity!

While we are happy to label and hold your item(s) until the end of the event, winners should be prepared to bring their item(s) home with them, as we have no pick-up location and no way to get it to you in person after the event is over. If taking it with you is not feasible, we are happy to send it to you but must add on to your total bid a charge for shipping, which will depend on the size and weight of the item.

Silent Auction Winners’ Charity Choices for 2017

Save Our Cemeteries

Save Our Cemeteries began in 1974 in response to a the potential destruction of the wall vaults of St. Louis Cemetery No. 2. Today, the non-profit organization is dedicated to the preservation of the 31 historic cemeteries of New Orleans. Save Our Cemeteries offers regular cemetery tours, lectures and programming for members and the general public, and does restoration of abandoned tombs.

Villalobos Rescue Center

Founded by Tia Maria Torres, Villalobos Rescue Center is a 501c3 registered charity focusing on rehabilitation and rescue of the American Pit Bull Terrier dog, with help from the parolees who work and care for the dogs. VRC works ceaselessly to give Pit Bulls another chance in life. Each and EVERY dog taken in, gets spayed or neutered, and given any medical treatment necessary. VRC works patiently to reacclimatize fearful dogs to the loving care of a human, so that they may eventually be adopted. In some cases, these dogs have never had a kind word or touch, and it is a slow process. After determining temperaments and compatibility factors, VRC begins that long search for the perfect home.

National Diaper Bank Network (Hurricane Relief)

In response to the devastation caused by the recent hurricanes, the National Diaper Bank Network has been coordinating targeted relief efforts to get supplies to families and babies in need.  In addition to the ongoing recovery efforts in Houston and Florida, NDBN is actively working on getting supplies to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
